They left from the inn few weeks after the incident. Roy couldn't leave the wounded patient alone especially when it wasn't absolutely sure if the elf would survive. He hadn't told that to anyone, though - the red head with Galaien had already seem so worried that he didn't have a heart to tell the possibility of death.
Luckily, Galaien had survived - again (that man must have extra lives or something) - and Fay and Roy had been able to continue their trip to the west.
It felt like coming spring on the mountains too; the wind was cold and there was still a lot of snow everywhere but the days were often sunny and warm. Roy felt kinda bad for Fay who had to stay inside the damp caves or creaky huts when it was too bright outside. The elf didn't complain though so Roy assumed it didn't bother the other that much.
They traveled slowly.
Mostly because of Roy's problem with sunlight but occasionally they'd stay in some village to hear and read about local stories. And Fay - of course - would want to hear and learn everything about any magic related things.
By time they got to the west side of Mountains it was full spring and only thing that still reminded of winter was the freezing cold wind that blew from the mountains.
"For now on", Roy started sitting down across the dark haired elf, "we need a guide. I don't know anything about west coast of the Lyrath and I'm pretty sure it would be dumb to venture there by ourselves. We'd probably just get lost or killed. Or something."
He scanned the crowd.
"Naturally I took care of it", the vampire smiled. "I have - uh - sort-of-colleague, who knows these lands. He promised to show us around."
They've arrived to the tiny inn in the yesterday evening, and Roy was impatient to move on. It was interesting to see places where he hadn't been before and to do that in the good company... well he was quite excited.
"He said he'd come here tonight but... you never know."
